About the Event

Completing the Mission — From Bhiwadi to Rewari

Rewari is a significant industrial and agricultural district in Haryana, home to a diverse workforce — from factory workers and welders in the industrial areas to seasonal agricultural labourers from surrounding villages. This event at Labour Chowk, Rewari marked the fifth and final stop in Ram Gopal Foundation's regional outreach campaign.

The Rewari event had a special focus on workers who migrate seasonally and often fall through the cracks of labour protection systems. Many were unaware that they carry their rights with them regardless of which district or state they work in. The Foundation's team ensured every worker left with the knowledge and tools to protect themselves.

Welders, electricians, and skilled tradespeople were informed about certification rights, fair pay grades, and contractor obligations.

Workers registered complaints on the spot, with volunteers explaining next steps and expected timelines for resolution.

Workers and their families were guided on government welfare schemes — housing, education, and healthcare benefits they are entitled to.

Worker's Voice

I came from Bihar three years ago and always thought the laws here did not apply to me as an outsider. This event changed everything. I learned that I have the same rights as any local worker, and that there is an organisation that will actually stand with me if something goes wrong. That feeling of not being alone means a lot.
